Got this groovy ring from my love. Cool stuff! Hee he also bought me facial masks, which obviously is very thoughtful of him cos its so practical! I love using masks and this one is really pretty cos all the sachets are enclosed in a box which resembles a diary? Hmm too pretty to use! I wonder if the effect is good? Will blog in the next entry!

Today’s the 4th day my love is in taiwan. From the sounds of it, its been rather fun though he couldn’t really find anything to buy for me though it seemed like its a shopping haven for girls! Sigh. And he spptted the martin margiela boutique there but it was quite pricey. Haha

Regardless, I’m just glad he found time to call me. Everyday! Yeah! So I know he misses me. Haha. I also miss him more so bcos its been a rather wretched week for me..oh wells! Can’t wait for my bkk getaway!

Was just tuning into the latin music awards and was quite surprised to see the lead singer of fall out boy. He’s so skinny now!

Stayed home today and caught up with one of my favourite pasttimes. Watching tv. Hee. I read about nicole richie starring in one of the episodes of chuck so I was pretty pleased that the episode on cable today has her on it!

I am fascinated by her really. No doubt she’s not that pretty but she is fashionable and I tink she is a pretty cool mum. Plus she designs her own jewellery. And she can look like this after only weeks of giving birth? Amazing! I wana be her! Haha

we are gluttons

This was taken last nite. Our date nite. At jumbo seafood. Haha the black pepper crab was nice! I loved the buttery-peppery smell and taste but when I got to the 3rd or 4th pc, it kinda was too intense for me. I got a throbbing headache eating. Gosh. Haha my love reckons its becos I was too focused eating crabs (which I dun normally indulge cos its waay too much of an hassle cracking the crabs apart just to get to the tiny ounce of flesh) but I just say its a new dining experience that I enjoy! Though I do feel kinda fat after that. Issit true that crabs have lots if cholesterol?

Oooh and medi-ya super mkt at liang court rocks! Loved the red bean frozen pancake! Delish!!

Whoa seriously how time flies? It dec already and xmas’s round the corner! I love it esp when I’m at the malls and u hear the xmas tunes playing- love mariah’s carey’s song (all I want for xmas is u!) Haha I can sing that like anytime. And erm madonna’s santa baby. Haha I oso liked the fact that starbucks have its seasonable specials-the peppermint mocha, and I seriously lovvee its red takeaway papercups. Its madness, but every year I wld bound to tell someone that I like the cups. Haha wish I can drink out of the cups everyday! Ok dumb.

It wld also be the second time in a row that I’ll be overseas during xmas. Not a bad idea anyway cos during tis time u wun really know what to do cos everywhere wld be crowded but u wana head out and then u end up at a club and its f-ing packed n u spend your money getting drunk. Hmm. But I tink its worse during nye. Wonder what I’m gonna do this year! Ohh and my bday’s coming. Getting older. Approaching the dreaded big 30. Diee. Haha but I wana have champagne.

My love wld be away tis week in taiwan. Wished I had sufficient leave so I can go! I wana try the food and shop! Oh well! Guess there’s always another time for us to go on our own. At least we wld be chking out bkk in 3 wks time hope I cn get some good buys!

I really like the weather these couple of days. Yes, it has been raining and yes it is a bit of an inconvenience especially if u are out and u do not have an umbrella blah blah and traffic can be an ass but hey the thing is I much prefer cool and wet rather than hot and humid. I mean I hate it when u have to walk ard under the scorching sun and then u perspire and feel sticky afterwards. Besides u get to wear scarves and woolly cardigans during this time. So that always make dressing up more varied n interesting

Ok my eyes are really drowsy and I think they are beckoning me to sleep. I really need more rest too for the skin to look more erm supple? I think u get the drift.

I’m really looking fwd to club btw. Haha the music on my ipod acts as a constant reminder that I hvnt club for soo long! Can’t wait!! And I hvnt planned my outfit yet. Hahah

me time

Had a bit of a me time today. Done all my grocery shopping, bought my conditioner (from the cheapest store in amk! Haha its 8.50 when watsons and all that sell it for 10bucks or more) haha bought my lunch ( was craving for chicken rice- the one from amk hub fdcourt is not bad-love the spicy chilli!) Rented a vcd (called sex drive- starring no one famous except appearances by seth green, fall out boy and erm james marsden). The best part about the afternoon was back-to-back episodes of csi. Love csi sundays! I mgd to watch csi ny and miami and thankfully miami turned out okay. Typically only ny and the original csi gets my attention. The miami one can be quite cheesy and the plot always revolve around drugs and firearms. Sian!

I also had a 2 hour nap-which explains why I’m still blogging at this hour. Was glued to the telly for the past hour too, toggling between meet the natives, mtv world stage feat lady gaga (yay!) And csi (the episode I missed in the day). Cannot imagine all these 3 programs had to run between 11 to 12, all at the same time! but I enjoyed gaga’s performance, as usual and turns out her entourage including her costume changes and props are all pretty consistent. All of which I witnessed during her SIN performance and she likes to say 2 things, jump! and scream! Hahah

I’m looking fwd to thursday! Woo hoo!

Gosh at client’s site and we can’t move off cos there is thunder and rain. And that’s cat 1 by the way. The siren is on and we have to take cover in the building! Wah lau waste time man!! And my boss said once the swallow is out then the rain should stop. Wow. Forces of nature. Major Bummer.

Its been featured in the news today that a lady in her thirties took up a slimming treatment in one spa located at amk in hopes of losing weight since she’s been teased by her children as da fei aka big fatty. What was interesting was the fact that an ALCOHOL soaked cloth was placed on her stomach and then the therapist lit the cloth with a LIGHTER…she later was left with a 20cm welt on her stomach as a result. Some interesting facts, she paid 250 bucks for the treatment and she was reimbursed 190 bucks due to what happened. Erm. Okayy.

My first reaction when I read the article was lik Wth? I mean alcohol and fire. Like helloooo?? Something is not right here man!! I mean I do sympathsize w this lady and more so I can’t imagine how evil the children are by making these kind of snide remarks to their mom. I mean da fei?! Please loh. Mean or what.

But what’s more disturbing is this beauty outlet is located at amk central- gasp! So near to where I live. Haha and then.I was just thinking what happens to the difference – the 60bucks. Its almost like this amount is spent for the lesson learnt (and for being naïve that such slimming treatments actually work) and for the welt on the stomach. Ok sorry. Quite mean there.

Whatever happens to basic dieting or exercise?? Oh and okto has to show extreme bodies tnite about obesity. Tsk tsk.

going gaga

ive written some time ago that i was a fan of lady gaga. i went to her concert when she was in singapore. i HAD to. and now im going through all her music videos again, the VMA the oxegen festival, gosh,i ammm sooo in awe of her. she is such a joy to watch. takes my breath away man. and ive been on the computer for the past hour, eye Sglued to the screen so much so that my head and eyes hurt, siao man. and she is touring us and uk this month! dammit, surely be damn good.

anyway her new sons, bad romance is out. i dun really fancy the song per se BUT the musIc video seriously rocks. THE SHOES AND THE CLOTHES. I WANT!!!

I have a case of fucked up eyes today, something wrong with my double eyelid or some kind. Sian! And my skin feels tight. Hope I feel better by tomorrow. Its TGIF once again. Phew. Finally got my first draft out for my tender. Good. Its progressing according to planned.

On a random note, I kinda like the serials running on ch 8 lately. The 7pm one and 9pm hahhaa. Quite auntie man, but somehwat grown to liked them. Chen hanwei is quite entertaining to watch. Lols. Can’t believe I just said that.

Speaking of chen hanwei, I made up a quiz some years back when I was bored to see how people will respond. Its my version of hipness-meter. It goes like this:

Tried the food at sultan plaza near keypoint today. Simple dishes like minced pork (looks like the malay begadil- sorry don’t know hot to spell), stir fried beans and broccoli and the signature dish the curry/asam fish head. Overall not too bad and best of all, we achieved our objective of getting our contract extended so that’s a big bonus.

Had a weird dream last nite, my colleagues from work appeared and I was speaking to the human resource mgr of a certain hotel and my human resource mgr were also in the same dream. He was trying to cue my bf to turn up the music volume for a certain opening ceremony?! Gosh! Am I too stressed or what?! Haha got a few tenders and proposals to work on. Can’t wait for the end of november to be here so can relax a bit. And the trip to bkk in dec! So looking forward to getting a break!

When is enough, enough? When is too much, too much? How do you know u have achieved the fine balance of doing things just enough to keep others happy? How do u know if others are happy? If they don’t express themselves, do u assume they are happy or do u ask them if they are? Do u wait to receive the compliment? Or u just keep doing stuff u think is right to garner praises?

If u love someone, u can’t overwhelm them too cos this stifles them or as what mariah carey might say u become obsessed. And when that happens its danger ground cos u have the tendency of losing that someone cos u r simply too much to handle.

But if u are just playing it safe, u know just being neutral mostly but with nice stuff once in a while, it comes across as being complacent?

I dunno. It gets to me sometimes cos on one hand it seems enough but sometimes it never will be.

Some form of basic appreciation will be nice I reckon. When something nice comes up. Like what I have from work. At least I know I’m doing some things right and ppl appreciate me for what I’ve done.

bruised n battered. not battered fish. i like fish in batter. fish n chips. is it the same batter?

I have bruises on both of knees cos of the constant accidental knocks I get when I get up the van every morning. The van is my way of getting to work as part of the company’s transportation. Its an art and a challenge to be able to get on the van on heels and when u r carrying your bags, umbrella or laptop, cos u need to ensure that u get on without exposing yourself (when u wear a skirt/dress) and u need to ensure u dun knock your head (the ceiling is low) and on top of that u need to be able to slide the door hard after u get on and its no easy feat considering u are half squatting the moment u get on, and u r on my heels with your hands full and yet u gotta free one hand to shut the door. Nuff said. And when u get to the seat (which by the way must be done quickly cos the van can’t wait at the bus lane so u gotta manoeuver quickly and sit down almost immediately), there is a seat belt fastener? On the side of the seat. I dunno wat u call that? Is that the correct term? The thing that the seat belt goes into? This bloddy thing always gets to me cos I always bang myself against it. And its hard. Greeat. Bruise.

And I got this on my wrist. Shit man.

I’m like all bruised and battered and apparently I don’t heal as fast as I like to. But I’m no wolverine! Sighs.

alcohol experiment

As I was saying I took on an experiment in recent months, just to prove a point. I had been pretty peeved with my flushed face after a nite out of drinks and while I had tons of fun downing stuff to get high , I suffered the next day having to wake up with a flushed face and the the redness didn’t go away as fast as I would like to. What was happening to me! Have my liver lost its function and I can’t break down the liquor as easily as I used to? Have I developed an allergic reaction to alcohol? Am I ever gonna be able to drink again! Gasp! Anyway I was quite paranoid and I hated my face getting red so I told myself to lay off the liquor even as I went clubbing. I tried that a couple of times and erm well it did work, which I was thankful for but wondered if I ever will enjoy as much if I dun drink when I club.

Anyway, and then I thought to myself if the combination of liquor made a difference, say I mixed different liquor or if I drink non-premium spirits. For some strange reason I tink it played a part. But most of all, I realised I have to drinks lots of water to flush out the alcohol in order not to have the aftermath. I’m glad to say on sat, I drank vodka ribena (absolut and not smirnoff, thank god) and champagne..and I was alright the next day. Phew!

Is it possible that you take the exact same route by cab but yet you end up paying a dollar and forty cents more? Is it a conspiracy theory by the cab drivers? Have/can the meters be rigged in some way??

the mojo’s back!

Hmm tink I’ll probably be blogging more. The interest’s kinda rekindled. Hee. And I guess overall I feel well in a more happy, settled place, spirtually and mentally. I realised when things are fucked up, u simply have no mood to blog. Well, u can also blog when life’s fucked but then again if you blog everyday and everyday’s entry Is a sob story then u probably feel worse at the end of it so then really there’s no pt. I don’t know, I just don’t want to come across as too much of a whiner if I’m complaining abt something everyday. That would be so typical of a singaporean eh? Always complaining this and that. I tink its impt to take stock of your life and look forward rather than backwards. I mean who likes living in the past when all u get is sadness and pain? I wouldn’t want that.

heart attack

The weekend, as usual is terribly short in my opinion but had a blast over a bbq hosted by my new set of colleagues. The house was great, albeit a rather ulu location re: nee soon camp. BUT the place was huge witha nice rooftop patio- fantastic for hosting dinner parties n chilling out with friends over drinks. Had plenty of laughs n booze, which erm can be great on normal circumstances, but I have been trying to cut down my alcohol intake as an experiment to see if my face will be flushed the next day if I don’t drink as much. Ok I would come back to the experiment later but to sum up the nite, it was fun cos we played several card games including heart attack! Haha the improvised version using poker cards. I like that game! And almost played uno therafter but decided not to be too enthu about it, cos well it can be quite lame to the others..
Anyway after a few rounds of heart attack, we had some champagne and then I reaslied there is a stinging sensation on my wrist. Then I realised I had a slit! Wtf! Somewhat deep and looked damn fugly. Shucks man! And the best part I dun even know I got scratched. Dammit!!!

howdy ho

its been a long while since ive blogged, its close to 3 months now? ha. well a couple of things have happened, i left my old job, got another one, went to batam and hongkong. and lately work has been interesting. its only the 2nd month into my job but already im busy like hell. the first day already jumped into attending meetings, and the rest of the activities include following colleagues around for customer visits, attending some MOU ceremony, clients’ DnD, company’s 7th month dinner,  press conference etc etc. the good thing is  my colleagues are actually quite a fun bunch! went clubbing with them recently and they are quite cool, even though they are all married. but the  venue was a bit of an unfortunate mistake, due to the F1 closures and shit, we had to go st james. but thank god for the music, courtesy of the event that nite. so thats ok. incidentally, my fav rnb song for the moment is  hotel room service. haha. 2, and 2, i undress you, and 3, and, you undress me. hahahhahah, Hotel Motel, Holiday Inn! hahahhaah

anyway, its a lazy sunday and honestly it being the eve of PH (yes monday;s an off day for me!) im getting quite bored. two fast too furious is showing on tv and we have the stupid dreary show called ai on ch 8. sob sob weep weep, im amazed that there is a loyal following for a show like this; more amazed that the scriptwriters can drag the show to like 1000 episodes. kudos to them man. i mean thats no easy feat. i caught a acouple of scenes below and i think the trick is to say something in like 10 different ways so its prolong the dialogue…. ….. im trying to think of some examples but, erm brain dead now. when i remember i’ll blog again.

perennial pessimist, or not.

im generally not an optimistic person or maybe i like to approach things with cautious optimism. but there has been some recent events which im quite happy about and i guess i can count my blessings. and honestly, i have god to thank for everything. its one thing about trying, but so long as i leave it in the hands of  god, i know he has a plan for me. and i should continue to hold that belief.

old friends

talk about getting old. ive been sleeping really early evry night bcos of the revised working hours at the office.  and the best part is i naturally get sleepy when 1030 pm comes, no more having to sedate myself with reading or drowsy meds.

i miss my love. hes away for 1 month, and this is probably the longest weve been ever apart. but come to think of it. its probablyk getting easierto manage by the day, throwing myself with ahem work and indulging in television, such as revisiting  gossip girl for eh. and finding new friends on facebook. oh wait a minute, its old friends and once you found 1 link, the others would be on board. one thing i realise though is quite a number of my friends are married, male, female. gosh. wow. thats really nice but wow. i mean. wow. haha.

im quite happy to be connected now, especially with my secondary school friends. some of them are high-fliers in their own fields witih some very useful contacts for me i must say. and new clubbing partners.  oh and i also found new friends through this link. so…good lah!

Adam Lambert finally confirms his sexuality in the new issue of Rolling Stone (on stands tomorrow).

“I don’t think it should be a surprise for anyone to hear that I’m gay,” the American Idol runner-up says.

Look back at the Season 8 Idol’s finale most unforgettable moments.

“I’m proud of my sexuality,” continues the rocker, who was photographed holding hands with interior designer Drake LaBry earlier this month. “I embrace it. It’s just another part of me.”

But Lambert, 27, from San Diego — who performed Sam Cooke’s “A Change Is Gonna Come” on the Idol finale — says he’s not the poster boy for gay rights.

lately

life has been mundane with not much to look forward to. ive been splurging mostly on toiletries, face masks and what not and been going butter quite a fair bit lately. im really into fash bar these days cos the tunes are super rockin’! and so im glad i finally got my hands again on the daft punk tunes. electro! hoorway.

im just incredibly bored and wishes something good comes along. im gonna watch taking of pelham 123 later; it should  be quite nice i reckon. and i wana catch the trashy raimi horror flick, drag me to hell! hhaha

the weather is such a killer. ive got my rashes back again, thanks to the heat. cannot stand it. at least there is some rain now, so some welcome relief there, aha!

im tempted to go butter again! but shit man, always spend quite a fair bit there. And  its high time to swipe the card at zouk before the membership gets stripped!!!

too tired

im too tired to do anything these days, including blogging. nothing exciting happening too, but im quite happy about my recent shopping purchases fro  topshop, forever 21 etc, and my 4 inch heels. ahaha worn only once to work on a trial basis to see if i wld stumble over them.BUT glad to know i didnt haha.
