which celebs i think are most likely gay
lots of things happen in tinseltown, celebs getting pregnant, ditched, coming out of the closet, divorced, whatever. so when names like zac efron was dropped the other day, i was like, shit man. that boy is definitely gay. i tell you why and i have more names to share:-
1. zac efron
he is gay because he looks like one and he also wears super thick make up. Foundation alert! And yes i know metrosexuals wear a lil make up to enhance their looks and all but typically they dont apply to the whole face u know. That is so unmasculine! And guys who are real men wont wear makeup, for the very reason that they do not want to appear gay. i know another local CNA presenter who swears by MAC makeup and each time his news bulletin is on, i cringe because his face us so ultra powdered and lips so glossy. it makes me wonder if he is truly gay. ok u know what. i think he is. closet gay man. another zac efron wannabe
2. clay aiken
this one we already knew cos he recently declared to the whole world that he is gay and he is now a father cos he recently married someone who is like 20 years older than he is and she was also the surrogate mum. i sensed something during his AI days and i am so right. Still im glad he came out and made the declaration you know. Just like ellen degeneres. at least something right.
3. ricky martin
no one is perfect. and of course he had to be gay right, lol. well i loved him when he was livin la vida loca, when he was much more chiselled and well-built. Even madonna found him good looking and gushed about it when they both attended the same music awards show. he recently had twins through a surrogate mum and if im not wron i read somewhere that he also mentioned he is gay..?
4. tom cruise
im adamant that this one is gay thats why nicole kidman’s marriage to him “failed”. cos this was merely a publicity stunt and now that she is famous too, she doesnt need to be with him no more. Marriage with Katie Holmes is still very much a scam i feel. the overly hush pregnancy and no pics till the baby was x months old. i dont think kate conceived in the traditional manner, if you know what i mean. But suri is super cute, so ok, i will go easy on them. lol. but she similarly wants to rub off some glamour/fame off tom i think.
my love asked if i think george clooney is gay/ i said. gawd no! he is so not gay. he is just a player who cant commit i think. but he looks damn hot as he aged, unlike some of his peers, brad pitt. and recently we caught yes-man in the cinemas. erm, i think jim carrey looks kinda weird now that he;s older too. oops. macaulay culkin. another case in point.

CNN
(CNN) – Shigeo Tokuda looks like your average retiree, wearing a classy gray suit and distinguished glasses. But there is nothing average about this 73-year-old when he steps in front of the camera. Shigeo Tokuda is a porn star.
Shigeo Tokuda (his pseudonym) says he hopes to work until he’s 80 or even older.
From women in their 20’s to their 70’s, Tokuda romances them all (sometimes more than one at a time). Tokuda is a genuine leading man in the genre of elderly porn, starring in more than 200 adult videos. Tokuda (that’s his porn name) is so successful, he is a brand.
“I retired and didn’t have anything to do,” says Tokuda, a former 9 to 5 travel agent. “This is my second life. I don’t know how long I can keep living, but I want to enjoy the rest of it.”
Tokuda certainly looks like he’s enjoying life, saying he’s healthier now than he’s been in years. So are sales of his DVD’s, primarily among middle-aged and elderly buyers.
“In his generation, Tokuda is a superstar,” says Gaichi Kono, an adult video director who has worked with Tokuda.

“He encourages older people to think, I can do this because that old man can do this.”
Ruby Productions produces Tokuda’s movies and specializes in elderly porn videos. It’s a genre they helped pioneer by accident.
Ryuichi Kadowaki, president of Ruby Productions, says they started producing adult videos with people in their 30’s to good sales. They creeped up to 40 year old actors and they sold even better. Kadowaki says they went up to actors in their 50’s, then 60’s, and now they’re producing an entire line of adult videos with actors in their 70’s.
And their star, says Ruby, is Tokuda. “To be honest, I don’t understand why people are buying these videos,” he says. “I think our older customers must feel a sense of security by watching videos with an actor who is in the same generation.”
Ruby says it’s targeting the elderly audience and considering selling videos in retirement homes. Ruby also says it’s just completed a deal to release some of Tokuda’s movies in the U.S.
Japan does have a higher percentage of people over the age of 65 than any country in the world. Ruby Productions says it’s just meeting a demand of an aging Japanese society.
Tokuda says his friends are envious, because he’s in a job where he’s valued, something many seniors lack. “Seniors get depressed because they don’t have anything to do. They go crazy,” says Tokuda.
Tokuda hopes to work until he’s 80 or even older. Giving it his all, he says, until the end.
the past week
flurry of activity last week. clearing my work emails, gearing up for my japan trip, making kueh, having a feast on my birthday and then off to the airport on a late night flight and the journey begins. the japan trip was fun overall, though the constant packing-unpacking took a strain on me cos we changed hotels 5 times in our 7 days trip, but of course we covered more ground this time, with osaka, kyoto, and then the final leg ended in tokyo. i guess the timing of the flight didn’t exactly help with the red-eye flight – landed in osaka at 8am in the morning and we were scooted off to universal studios on the 1st day. but then again, thank god we went to an amusement park, cos i cant imagine me shopping or doing sight-seeing on the 1st day especially when im rather sleep deprived. the thrill rides jolted my senses, so i could stay awake for the day. but as i took a closer look at my pics, i notice my eyes were really small (cldnt hardly keep them open. lol) so each time i pose for pics, i had to like, force them so they appear bigger, more alive.
i like the temperature in japan cos it allowed me to wear my scarves and my jacket and layer my clothes, which is rather nice cos we dont get to do that in s’pore. i do like the cold and how it gives my cheeks a nice flush and all, but i really regret the fact that i didnt buy cold cream before i flew.and that is a grave mistake cos my skin became reallly dehydrated. i only brought my daily moisturiser which i used locally, which obviously didnt help my skin at all. anyway, i battled with red blotchy skin during the trip and also the past few days so im pretty glad im back home. quite ironic cos i was looking fwd to the trip and the shopping but i guess im beginning to miss home and my complexion before i flew to japan. its been abt 3 days since my return and my skin’s beginning to recover. i seriously cannot wait for everything to subside so i can look normal again and then hit the clubs. its about time anyway, cos my love did well for his exams (Calls for a celebration) plus we didnt party during my birthday nor for x’mas.
However, there were a couple of highlights during the trip, like our tour guide thought we were japanese (major compliment, lol), the cosmetics were cheap (esp shisheido products, cos it was almost like a house brand there..even the hotels gave away cleansing foam and provided body wash/shampoo/conditioner by shisheido), the cheap classic ferragamo pumps which i spotted at Gotemba premium outlets, ONLY s$350 but it came in limited colours, like bloody red and dark blue. I SHOULD have bought them and sell it here, haha (but i didnt anyway) and i uncovered some cool jap brands housed in a suburban shopping mall which sold cool earrrings and stocked accessories from See by Chloe. I also bought a lovely gold necklace and a super cool black-gold studded bag and 2 other hello kitty accessories for my hair and my make-up. can i again stress that Gotemba was a shopping haven cos its basically 1 one stop shop for ALL the major brands, from gucci, ferragamo, martin margiela (damn nice), miu miu, prada etc etc. And best of all, there is something for everyone, guys, girls, young, old. my love bought this pair of nike air force 1 (high cut) which is damnnnnnnnn cheap, i think it converts to less than S$100!!!!!! super good steal. i think anyone who goes there needs to allocate 1 full day for shopping cos we only had 2 hours to shop and it was not enough seriously, didnt had sufficient time to go to the washroom too! i ran like crazy so we cld make it back to our tour bus.
I think japan is a great place to go but next time, i think i wana try going during the cherry blossom period and also spent more time in tokyo and sample hokkaido as well.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
during my birthday
it was a quiet affair this year. didnt really want to spend too much on drinks/partying since we have our trip to japan. but it was good enough for me cos being 1 year older isnt really worth celebrating much also, haha. maybe if im 20 i will think differently.
anyway, the kueh-making process was pretty fun. the fruits of our labour tasted pretty good, esp for first-time kueh-making virgins like us. its a rather tedious process too, every 5-8 mins you gotta pour the mixture in and then have it steamed. So u cldnt really focus on watching tv cos you have to get up every 5 mins to check on the steaming process. as a result, i cldnt really follow my ellen de generes show, but then again, i get to watch most of it on youtube and also on channel 5, so thats cool.
dinner was really nice. i 1st tried the claypot crab beehoon almost 4 years ago, and then i didnt plan any further visits thereafter. im not the biggest fan of crabs, because it simply involves too much work to get to the flesh and being the lazy person that i am, i would much putting something in my mouth which id like pre-prepared or meat which you can easily sink your teeth into. like fish, chicken, pork, beef. lol. ok im damn lazy. my love commented that i wld probably die if im stuck on some island or something coz everything seems to be so much work for me?? haha well, i said if im really stuck some island – then i obviously have to adapt and i would eat anything to survive. ok random. anyway, back to the food. the claypot beehoon soup was delish - 4 years ago, it left a lasting impression and im glad we ordered this again cos it was really good. we decided to pass on salt pepper crab this time so we can return with more people and try an even greater variety of their seafood. lol.we chanced upon some MP (not managing amk or kebun bahru GRC) who also dined there and he was having a whale of a time drinking beer *gasp* with his pals. He had this extreme-side parting hairstyle, he was fair and wears gold-rimmed glasses. i wasnt sure if he was an MP but my love thought so, and based on the description, he probably is cos most MPs look like him lo.
we ended off the night by watching the day the earth stood still at amk hub. the cathay cinema at amk hub has the “BEST” airconditioning. funny thing is each time we ended up watching a movie, its always a last min decision so no chance to grab any sweater/cardigan before we go there. this time is no exception. lol. the show turned out to be pretty ok; keanu reeves was the highlight i think, he just suited for roles that doesnt require much dialogue or emotions and he always must wear a dark suit. but he is probably the most preserved actor in hollywood. he doesnt have much of the age/frown/laugh lines unlike actors in his age range. refer to brad pitt. at 1 pt of the show i tot i was watching the matrix cos he spoke mandarin and he was conversing with some old man who is also a fellow alien. if i recall correctly, matrix also has some scenes with him sprouting mandarin (ok it was passable, but he sounded a lil like pierre png when he started out) and the dialogue with old people (the old lady and another keeper of the keys?)
weekend part 2
saturday: i finally visited the salvation army thrift shop! ive been dying to go to one of the shops to display my “talent” of picking up vintage finds and turning them into every-day/clubbing wear. And after much procrastination, boy am i glad i went. the shop is more organised than i imagined. the 1st level houses furniture and basically big bulky items like pianos, organs etc. while the second level had books, jewellery, shoes, clothes etc. I was really hoping to lay my hands on some vintage YSL and chanel-type shoes and then i would bring to the cleaners to clean them so they become spanking and new, and i could maybe even sell them for a profit!! erm. well, i didnt manage to see any, though there was some weird shoe brand called le bar or le brand printed all over the shoe boxes and the shoes werent really exciting looking..anyway, moving quickly to the men’s clothes, my love tried on this grey-black jacket and it was actually quite nice! too bad it was rather big even for his size (he’s tall you know) and it smelled funny (not surprising) and a lil dusty and it was about 40bucks, so again, we moved to another section. Fashion for ladies! this is the exciting bit as there were wedding gowns and reaaaaallllllly retro outfits hanging on the shelves. when i say retro, its really retro, not like cool vintage types you know. but after sieving through the clothes..i nailed a piece of black cropped top, which looks pretty cool. i tried it on and it fits pretty well too. yay! 1st item of the day. i passed on a bright red marks and spencer red-velvety dress and another black sleeveless dress with vintagey buttons, but not knowing how much they would cost, i thought i better give up the idea. i dun intend to spend too much also, plus how am i going to wear that red dress around though it looks really cool on its own???
anyway, when i was about to pay my black cropped top at the counter - (which i still dont knowhow much it costs). i noticed a couple of necklaces, brooches, earrings at the glass case too… soo i had to try them on and i bought this! nice right. double S-es, kinda symbolic cos im actually an S myself, S for Sharon mah. lol. so in total 1 pair of earrings + 1 top. i spent 10.40.t he shirt is only $4 after a discount handed by the cashier who calls me “my dear”. cool man. i like my finds and i think i will check out another thrift shop soon!

the weekend part 1
friday: had a big feast. finally checked out the much raved, much hyped zi char stall at blk 89 zion road. we feasted on marmite pork ribs, butter cream prawns, pork knuckles and their signature tofu. the pork ribs and prawns were really tasty in my opinion though the pork knuckles was a little too pork-ish i=for my liking. u know the strong pork smell that lingers? Yup, that is it. The tofu was so so only, so could have also passed on it, but we wanted a vegetable dish and the boss was quite pushy in his sales techniques, and so we were won on. 2 of us ate $44 worth of food, thats quite a lot if you think about it. But i will surely return for the ribs and prawns..yums. plus its opposite zouk! definitely worthwhile if you eat there beforehand so you can grease up your tummy real good before hitting the clubs to drink. ha
we watched twilight as well! the movie made me feel kinda giddy after a while with the scenes alternating between super close shots of the 2 leads and then far shots of the background. This happened quite a few times, so it was rather unsettling for me. But yes, robert p is super cute, he has such a flawless (pale) face and his hair, well what can i say. he just looks good la. pin-up poster boy. i can imagine why girls go goo-goo gaga over him. And he’s Brit. cool… cool accent! But his accent wasnt too thick on the show anyway. The 2 leads definitely showed good chemistry in the film. No wonder rumours were aplenty about them really being together. Vampires are cool again! not just another character people think of, on halloween
rain rain
contrary to most people, i actually do like rainy days. I like the fresh smell after the rain and the cool weather so you dont have to turn on any airconditioning. And you also get to wear your jackets, pullovers and scarfs which you cant really do so on a sunny day as that would be rather ridiculous..hello fashion faux pas! but then again ive seen people do that regardless of the weather. And with their kind of get-up, boots and what not, its really quite silly.
Anyway, its pouring again! So we dont have snow but we have rain. haha Oh well, i cant wait to go for my japan trip next week!!
money money money
the title reminds me of the opening credits to The Apprentice.Dig the track but not the fact that in seriously lacking some. lol. Paid up the remaining sum to the japan tour package.opt for part cheque upfront and the rest to be billed in monthly instalments (0% interest of course) to ease the finances a little. still looking fwd to the trip really cos we get to see mt fuji, visit osaka and tokyo, hello kitty land, disneyland, throw in hot spring and all as well as the universal studios. however, when the guy starts briefing about compulsory “service fees” – which is really tips to the driver, guide and all, its kinda a major turn-off cos each person is supposed to fork up an additional of about S$40 or something like that and each person here refers to each adult and each child. Imagine of family of 4 or 6 with with 2 or 4 kids. tsk. And the agent had to say, oh, its not tips alright, this is what we call service fees and tip is something you will give above and beyond the “service fees”. Please, and tips was what was printed on the itinerary brief sheet. wth
So with the lack of $$$, im thinking twice abt going crazy for my birthday celebrations. In previous years, it always starts with drinks, more drinks and of course 1 helluva party. I think its time for a change. Im not getting younger also (probably not getting any wiser as some may think), so nothing really worthwhile to celebrate too. I dont mind getting just a bottle of champagne and drink myself silly. But birthday presents are still and always welcome! lol
quote of the day
You want to look like a lady, not a lady of the night
have you ever wanted something so bad, you start to think of different outcomes or scenarios that can possibly happen and how you may be able to achieve your goals? for eg. initiating a break-up (bad example), or maybe getting a scholarship or scoring at an interview. I dunnot if my mind is particularly active but i start to think of all possible questions that may be thrown at me, whether logical or nosensical and then i envision the audience’s response. I start getting really nervous about the whole situation cos i want something good to come out of it, but a part of me says, the more desperate i am the worse it might be. Better to go in with an open mind with little expectations than to expect a lot and then fail miserably right? But then again, if you showcase your eagerness/enthusiasm in a right way, the panel of judges/employer may see you at a go-getter rather than a eager beaver/pathetic loser? but of cos this doesnt apply during a break-up situation- the more amicable the outcome the better obviously.
this thing about expectations really get to me. my mind trails off somewhere with some random thoughts about how happy i would be if im successful ultimately. And i want to be in that state!! question is how to make that happen. Im kinda getting crazy just thinking all the “right”stuff i will say, just to land me a scholarship, the right job etc. and it is getting so bad that my throat is clamming up and i feel like its getting increasingly to swallow. goddamit. i seriously need to chill.
on a rather random note, i was at church yesterday and one of the choir members did a solo during their song item. i suddenly wished i was also doing that bcos afterall, i did undergo vocal training and my singing voice aint that bad (not the karaoke type of voice). somehow i am thinking i should put these talents to better use. it has crossed my mind to join like the s’pore youth choir or whatever, but i never got down to even finding out if qualify. i think i should. and i want to learn the violin someday. and i want to play in a band again- concert band. i missed that. The feeling of accomplishment, the high you get when you perform a piece and you know the band sounds good. the feeling you are really involved in something and you get something back (audiences applause or çompliments from the band instructor).
i may be going through my mid-life crisis i think. or im losing my grip on my life at present. i seriously need some re-inventions/new engagements to feel excited all over again. i want to showcase what i am good at. All i need is the opportunity. and i cannot afford to screw up if ive got 1 chance. i simply cannot.
